From early on we are taught how to acquire:
education, hobbies, friends, money and prestige. However, few of us have been taught how to let go gracefully when those close to us die, first love is no more, "life happens", or even when we choose to make a deliberate and desired change.
In this class we take a close look at myths around bereavement, grief and loss that have been handed down from generation to generation. Most of us are very familiar with these notions; they seldom help and sometimes harm.
“Helping Children With Loss” empowers adults to model to kids and teens how to let go of the pain of past relationships and events, so they can learn to enjoy lasting fond memories, or live life without the ongoing burden of bad ones.
